About BallparkBob

BallparkBobBallparkBob is admittedly a Phillies fan, but a fan of baseball in general.  You know you love baseball when you are driving out of town and stop to watch a Little League game.

An ex-high school middle infielder who could have benefited from an aluminum bat, BallparkBob has moved on to coach youth travel baseball teams in the AAU national championships.  He offers some of his baseball coaching tips on the internet and provides a web site for top high school baseball players who wish to play baseball in college or beyond.

BallparkBob has attended four Phillies Phantasy Camps where he has been coached by Del Unser, Steve Bedrosian, Bruce Ruffin, Al Holland, and Pete Rose Paul ByrdJr.  BallparkBob is often mistaken in the Philadelphia area for ex-Phillies pitcher Paul Byrd.  On two occasions, BallparkBob has even signed an autograph on behalf of Mr. Byrd when fans insisted that he was the current Indians Red Sox pitcher.  So, be careful if you are buying a Paul Byrd autograph on ebay.

BallparkBob once got two strikes on John Kruk at Phantasy Camp before the Krukker hit the third strike off the right field wall.  BallparkBob’s lone major league hit came off of Stan Bahnsen

It was a curve.
