I agree and disagree with tip 5 because you really only need one or two guys who can run. Those guys will only fill one category and if your lucky they can help in avg and runs. Guys who can hit homers will help hin hr, rbi, runs, and once again if your lucky avg. So all you need is that one guy like Gardner, Ichiro, Reyes, Bourn, and you will compete and probably win SB. Once you get one or two of them stack up in everything else starting with HR because that will help in 3 other categories.

Pay for hitters and develop cheap pitching. It's much smarter to give someone like Alex Rodriguez $45 then Jared Weaver or Francisco Liriano. You want to spend as cheaply as possible on players like Ricky Romero, Gio Gonzalez and Wade Davis. Picking the right guys to target for cheap will always turn out to be better. All the while, develop as many top prospect pitchers as you can if you have minor leaguers. Guys like Jeremy Hellickson, Michael Pineda and Mike Montgomery could all help you win your pitching categories for years to come and you could have them for much cheaper than their actual value. There are usually tons of solid 1B and OF, so try not to overspend on them. Elite fantasy C, 2B, SS & 3B are worth spending premium money on if you can acquire a legit stud, due to the fact there's just is a huge drop off from the top guys to the middle-type guys. Hope this helps someone.

I agree with tip 7 a lot. I also agree that you should keep hitters before pitchers. That is a nice strategy that you have wrote. I like it.

One of the most important strategies for a keeper league is to draft to win. A lot of managers can get caught up in drafting the hot prospects in the early rounds, just to end up dropping them a few weeks in. Guys like Aubrey Huff, Vlad, Michael Cuddyer, Big Papi and Torii Hunter, while not keepers, are great fill players that can help you win your league!
