Week 1 MLB Power Rankings

Fantasy Baseball Dugout is proud to have one of the six voting spots in Yardbarker’s Blogger Poll for MLB Power Rankings 2010. In addition to providing our insight on ranking each MLB team 1-30, we also monitor the AL West each week and drop a little insight on each team.
See below for our week 1 rankings. All the links below point to our team archive pages. Our analysis of each AL West team is also spread throughout the post. A couple things have changed since last week, but the Yanks and Phils remain 1-2. I try not to let the top teams move too much when there’s such a small sampling of games.
Now some sprinkle:
- Bay Area baseball is bubbling to start the season – the Giants are up 8 spots from the preseason rankings, the Oakland A’s are up 10.
- The Blue Jays are up 12 spots, but there’s no doubt in my mind they will fall once they start playing in their division.
- The Mets dropped 11 – did I overrate them to start the year?
