@Tony - catchers went at a premium in this draft for some reason. So yes, under normal circumstances, I did reach for Ianetta - but the way that draft went down, I kinda felt like I had to. Ethier and Sandoval were steals, however - and that probably makes Ianetta tradable at some point in the year, right? I think so.

ALL TRUE. You never know how dumb dumbs will draft....nothing suprises me almost anymore.

In your draft I think Ianetta went way too early, from my experience you can wait til the 20th and find a good Catcher, no need to stab? Then Pablo and Eithier went wayyyy too late. I took eithier in the 11th in my 12 team league. With manny signing i'm smelling a big year.

You are absolutely correct, most people don't drafts like the experts..but I contend that when our buddies stretch for their favorite teams' players, propsects, SPs, and RPs, thank your lucky stars that you are able to clean up their mess. Don't draft erratically too. Forget about your expert draft strategy that was cloned from your favorite fantasy baseball magazine or website. Believe me...stay steady and you'll draft a dream team stronger than anything possible in an expert draft. This is especially true for yahoo, foxsports, espn, and other highly publicized sites. It's not uncommon for managers to overvalue closers and SPs early...like first RD. early. I just drafted in a league that saw the red sox's closer, Jonathan P., draft rd.1 9th pick. What do you do? Nothing...let them shoot themselves in the foot.

Good point....almost no one drafts with experts. There always seems to be a few "uniformed" new owners who throw a wrench into your draft strategy.
