Baseball’s Hottest Wives Finalist: Michelle Damon

Unlike the lovely Lisa Dergan Podsednik, Michelle (formerly Mangan) Damon is a bit of a mystery. Perhaps that’s why all of us are so smitten with her.

Johnny Damon, Yankees outfielder and generally reliable base hitter in fantasy baseball circles, met Michelle at a Houston restaurant in 2002. Remember, this was while he was still a scruffy idiot as a member of the Red Sox, so you still have a chance. Just find a couple million and some hand-eye coordination.
We will always scratch our heads at the idea of why Michelle was attracted to Damon during his awkward “Jesus” phase, but they dated for two years and got hitched in 2004. I wonder which 2004 accomplishment ranks higher on Johnny’s personal list – marrying Michelle, or ending the “Curse of the Bambino?”

Mrs. Damon is a fiesty femme. Originally from Missouri, she had a spat with another of FBD’s hottest baseball wives, Shonda Schilling, during their husbands’ time with the Sox. Mrs. Schilling called out Mrs. Damon as a “homewrecker” for allegedly breaking up Johnny’s first marriage, and the two had quite a shouting match. Also, you’d be foolish to call her a former stripper… she says she wasn’t. We’ll take her word for it.

As you can tell from the picture on the right, Damon is a model… but she used to work for Kraft Foods and bought her first house at age 19. We are guessing today though that she probably lives with JD, so good luck getting invited in for dessert.
