There has been a lot of debate during spring training, and in fantasy baseball draft rooms, about who the top shortstop is for the 2008 season.
While it is difficult to argue against the reigning 2007 NL MVP (Jimmy Rollins of the Philadelphia Phillies) or the player most “experts” agree is the no. 2 player in all of fantasy baseball (Hanley Ramirez of the Florida Marlins), your friends at Fantasy Baseball Dugout think Jose Reyes of the New York Mets is the best choice for your team in 2008.
Reyes possess five-tools and bats leadoff for a solid lineup, meaning that he is sure to get on base and score plenty of runs with David Wright and company knocking him in. THe biggest advantage Reyes gives fantasy owners is with his feet, as he will likely steal more bases than either J-Ro or HanRam in 2008.
