yeah the thing about Sheff is he can't possibly have more than a year or so left. Damon is on the decline also. I might be better off keeping Votto or maybe Felix Pie. The guys in this league 'love' young prospects.

I'm sure Damon and/or Sheff would go in the first round if I dropped them.(1st round technically being the 16th). But, I'm not sure from a keeper league perspective if that's a big loss to me. Still not too sure what to do. I was leaning toward keeping Sheff but I'd hate to lose Votto and see him hit 25hr and 90 rbi with a few steals. Also I seen a few nice expert projections for Pie which looked promising.

It's hard to go against Johnny Damon or Sheff... it's also got to be difficult to choose between their potential or throw a former Cy Young winner to the wolves.

As I said in another post, most leagues have more hitting categories than pitching categories, so while it is important to have solid starting pitching, having a top shelf lineup is probably going to take you further.

I would guess you could probably send Jimenez packing, and then get him back in your draft pool. He should probably be on your chopping block. Ditto with Votto.

While I like Carp when he's healthy, it might be best to throw him to the wolves as well (until he proves his arm is 100%).

Just some thoughts to throw around...

I'm in a keeper league and I have Carpenter. We can keep 15 players and I'm still debating whether to keep him or not. I have Harang, Zambrano, Shields, Wainwright, Penny and K-Rod already as keeper pitchers. Not sure what to do, it's basically keep either Carpenter, Sheffield, Damon, Votto or Ubaldo Jiminez.

Sheff or Damon will probably have the best year, but Sheff is close to done and Damon is declining. I just dont know what Carpenter will be like when he is back.
